Encouraging take-up rate at Sheda Expo

KUCHING: The encouraging take-up rates at the upcoming Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Sheda) Property Expo 2018 reflects positively on the property market in Sarawak.

Organising chairman Gary Kho highlighted this at a briefing with exhibitors yesterday, and announced that all booths at the expo has successfully been taken up.

The Sheda Property Expo 2018, which will run from July 6 to 8, 2018 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), will see over 100 booths exhibiting various types of properties and products of interest for potential investors and house buyers.

Potential investors and house buyers can also view projects from its main sponsors such as Naim Land Sdn Bhd, Interhill Enterprise Sdn Bhd, CMS Property Development Sdn Bhd, and Matrix Concept (Central) Sdn Bhd.

Visitors can also compare and purchase properties from major developers across Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia such as Elica Sdn Bhd, Ibraco Bhd, Kenbest Property Sdn Bhd, Chen Ling Development Sdn Bhd, Petra Jaya Properties Sdn Bhd, Hock Seng Lee Construction Sdn Bhd, Green Summit Development Sdn Bhd, Timberland Properties Sdn Bhd, Instarmac Development Sdn Bhd, Regal Advantage Sdn Bhd, Sentoria Borneo Land Sdn Bhd, Sumbangan Aneka Sdn Bhd, Borneo Development Corporation (Sarawak) Sdn Bh, San Chin Realty Sdn Bhd, RH Vision Sdn Bhd, Bricomp Technology Sdn Bhd, Bank Rakyat, and Classic Emas (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd.

In addition, over 15 programmes comprising of activities and talks have been prepared for the three-day event.

“Sheda has arranged an exciting weekend of programmes and activities for the whole family such as Zumba Fitness, Colouring contest, blood donation campaign, clown visits, and for the first time in East Malaysia and in conjunction with the 2018 FIFA World Cup, a special Pro Robotic goal simulator.

“The one who score the most against the Pro Robotic keeper will be eligible to win the official Argentina FIFA World Cup 2018 jersey, signed by Lionel Messi,” Kho said.

There will also be a line-up of talks by internationally-experienced speakers for visitors interested in the property climate, market, and projected trends, while the popular Feng Shui Talks will also be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Aside from that, visitors can also grab free bottles by registering at the Sheda Property Expo 2018, which is limited to the first 1,000 visitors per day. Every registered visitor could also stand a chance to win the Daily Lucky Draw Prizes and a guarantee one-year free e-paper from either one of the expo’s official newspapers under See Hua Marketing Sdn Bhd. This includes See Hua Daily, Borneo Post, and Utusan Borneo.

At the expo, buyers who spend a minimum RM1,000 or more in a single receipt will also be eligible to redeem an exciting gift from a range of branded items and they are also entitled to a try at the Pro Robotic keeper simulator.

For exhibitors and contractors, Sheda will also be awarding them for best booths awards at the expo. This year, Sheda announced that it has three trophies to be given out this year and these trophies are for ‘Best booth award’, ‘The Corporate Image award’, and ‘The Creativity award’.

These awards will be judged based on overall appearance, creativity, originality, technique and skill of construction, exhibits and products on display, as well as graphic and information.

During the exhibitors’ briefing, which was also conducted by representatives Allen Tan and Luqman Nul Hakim from the expo’s official contractor, IDA Exhibition, and the official venue, BCCK, topics such as logistical and technical regulations were discussed to ensure compliance and improve the smooth running of the expo.

“Sheda’s aim is to continuously improve its services to members, exhibitors, and the public. Therefore, we seek the coorperation of all exhibitors in complying with logistical and technical operations to ensure the smooth running of the event,” Kho said.

Luqman also pointed out that the rules and regulations are put in place to ensure the safety of visitors and exhibitors as well as to maintain the quality of the expo and the facilities provided by BCCK.
