MIRI: Naim Group of Companies, through its charitable trust fund Tabung Amanah Naim, recently contributed RM50,000 to Miri Malay Welfare Trust Board (LAKMM).

The contribution was handed over during a ceremony witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and wife Datin Patinggi Dato Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang.

Representing Naim for the handing over was its advisor Charles Bateman, who presented the mock cheque to LAKMM chairman Datuk Abdillah Abdul Rahim.

Bateman in his speech said Naim operates with a strong awareness of its corporate social responsibility.

“We have a strong outreach programme to connect with the less fortunate members of the community, trying to assist them in ways we can as we strongly believe in giving back to society.

“This is beyond corporate social responsibility – this is from our hearts, driven by a passion to make a difference in people’s lives.

“We hope that our contribution would be able to facilitate LAKMM’s noble efforts in assisting those in need, and we look forward to a continuation of such efforts in time to come,” he said.
