BANJARMASIN, S Kalimantan: South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor together with South Kalimantan Police Chief Insp. Gen. Rachmat Mulyana and Provincial Military 101 Antasari Commander (Danrem) Col.Inf. Yudianto Putrajaya run to lead the last stage of Asian Games torch relay from Zero Kilometer to finish at Mahligai Pancasila Building, Antaranews Kalsel reported.

“Alhamdulillah the entire Asian Games Torch Relay series went well and the whole community of South Kalimantan fully supports its success,” Sahbirin Noor told reporters on Monday.
The governor, who is familiarly called Uncle Birin, was grateful for all those who have helped smooth the implementation of the Asian Games torch
parade.
“Especially the security forces of the Police assisted by the TNI (Armed Forces) are all united in synergy with other elements for one purpose for the Asian Games torch that stop in South Kalimantan successful and festive,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, Police Chief Rachmat Mulyana revealed that his party deployed 482 personnel to secure the Asian Games Torch Relay from Syamsudin Noor Airport in Banjarbaru to round the city of Banjarmasin.
“482 personnel combined all Police functions both at regional and resortof Banjarbaru, Banjar, and Banjarmasin until Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Unit stands on the torch procession route,” explained the two-star police general.
Befor finished at Mahligai Pancasila Building on the 20th stage, the Asian Games torch crossed the Martapura River from Siring Menara Pandang Jalan Piere Tendean to Siring Zero Kilometer on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman.
When crossing the river, the torch was brought by Head of South Kalimantan Youth and Sport Agency Zakly Asswan, while troupe vessels was escorted by the South Kalimantan Directorate of Water and Air Police also Banjarmasin Naval Base.
Although not held in South Kalimantan, but did not reduce the enthusiasm of local communities to participate in fully support the success of Asia’s largest sporting event that this time took place in Indonesia as the host.
After spending one night in Mahligai Pancasila Banjarmasin, the Asian Games torch will immediately be brought on Tuesday (31/7) morning to the island of Sumatra for the relay begin in Aceh.
