KUCHING: Afterschool.my, Malaysia’s number one higher education website with over 4,000,000 visitors yearly, has released SPM Revision Guide 2018, the 11th edition of its popular study guide.
Compiled by teachers with more than 20 years of experience, this comprehensive book of SPM model questions helps prepare students to score in their examinations, a press statement from Afterschool.my said.
Equipped with model questions based on past years’ SPM examinations, the revision guide covers 10 subjects – Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, History, Science, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Principles of Accounting.
The revision guide also features tips to excel in each subject, including key ideas and concepts to help students understand the marking criteria and how best to maximise the effectiveness of their answers.
“We created this SPM Revision Guide 11 years ago with the aim of helping students who are sitting for SPM,” says Rajah Sivalingam, managing director of Afterschool.my.
“Thanks to the support of our sponsors who share our vision in helping students, we can offer the guide – in print and ebook versions – for free to help all SPM students regardless of their economic background,” the statement said.
With over 500,000 guides published since its inception, Afterschool’s SPM Revision Guide has been an invaluable tool for both teachers and students in preparation for the examinations. With 20,000 copies published this year alone, the revision guide will be distributed to selected schools nationwide.
“The SPM Revision Guide was really helpful in the lead-up to my SPM examinations, providing challenging questions that required me to engage with my teachers to gain deeper understanding in subjects I was weak in,” Firdaus Azman, a former student of SMK Dato Ibrahim Yaacob and top achiever in last year’s SPM examinations, was quoted as saying in the statement.
“While the questions in the SPM Revision Guide were tough, they motivated me to keep trying until I was able to answer the questions well. The guide helped me to be confident and prepared for the exams, especially in answering higher-order thinking skills (HOTS)-based questions,” said Wan Faridatul, another top achiever in last year’s examinations SPM from SMK Methodist Girls’ School Kuala Lumpur.
