KUCHING: A total of 180 athletes from the Kuching City North Commission Sports and Recreation Club are participating in the Local Authorities Sports Carnival 2018 in Bintulu.
The athletes left for Bintulu yesterday for the carnival which will be held from
Aug 9-11.
This year’s carnival is organised by the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA).
The biennial sports carnival was first organised by the Sibu Municipal Council in 2012, followed by Miri City Council in 2014, and DBKU in 2016.
A total of 26 local authorities will be participating in the fourth edition of the games.
They will be competing in 17 events such as badminton, ping pong, tennis, basketball, futsal, carom, tug-of-war, among others.
