KKB Engineering unit secures Petronas contract

KUALA LUMPUR: KKB Engineering Bhd’s unit, OceanMight Sdn Bhd has won a contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of wellhead platforms for the D18 Phase 2 project.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KKB Engineering said the contract was for a period of 27 months, of which 15 months were for work execution plus a warranty period of 12 months.

It said the total combined contract sum for both D28 Phase 1, announced earlier on March 30, and D18 Phase 2 projects were RM226 million.

OceanMight is a Petronas-licensed fabrication yard for offshore facilities construction.

As at 3.05pm yesterday, KKB Engineering was up 2.5 sen to 87.5 sen, with 142,100 shares traded. — Bernama
