KUCHING: SMK Sungai Tapang made Sarawak proud yesterday after being declared champion in the Innovation Category during the grand finals of the Petrosains RBTX Challenge 2018 in Shah Alam.

Represented by Form 2 students Alia Lee Xin, Damian Liew Cho Xiang and Ng Yu Wei, the school bested 20 other teams from throughout the country with their invention called Elemental Box.
The win saw them bagged a cash prize of RM3,000.
The students were accompanied by teachers Zamri Sahaat and Siti Hilijah.
