X-FAB Sarawak named Asia’s Best Employer Brand

KUCHING: X-FAB Sarawak Sdn Bhd was awarded with Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award 2018 once again, recognising X-FAB Sarawak for its excellence and outstanding employer branding activities.

The semiconductor manufacturer that is part of the X-FAB group employing 4,000 people worldwide and about 1,300 people in its Malaysia facility, received recognition for its relentless efforts and investment in talent management, employee performance and development, as well as rewarding and recognizing their employees success. Prior to this, X-FAB Sarawak had won the ‘HR ASIA Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2015’ and the ‘Asia’s Best Employer Award in Asia 2017’.

Maureen Labarge, X-FAB Sarawak’s HR director who received the award on behalf of the organization said: “We are proud to have yet won another award that shows our commitment and dedication to building a human resource management system which enhances productivity, embraces diversity and fosters an environment where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

“This award also instils in us to continue to raise the bar in terms of attracting, developing and retaining our best talents, to ensure we have highly motivated and skilled employees which will lead us to achieving our goals.

“This award certainly would not be ours if it wasn’t because of each and every one of our employees living our values. Their exemplary dedication and work ethic have made X-FAB Sarawak what we are today.”

Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards were jointly hosted by Employer Branding Institute, World HRD Congress and Stars of the Industry Group, supported by CHRO Asia as strategic partner and endorsed by Asian Confederation of Businesses.

The awards acknowledge more than 100 organisations across Asia that demonstrated excellence in building their brands and identities as employers of choice visible through their human resource practices, polices and strategies, honouring exemplary work in employer banding in more than 30 Asian countries.

The selection of the awards winner was undertaken by a global research group with professionals from different parts of Asia and is based on: being exemplary in learning and development initiatives; communicating distinctiveness in employee hiring, training and retention practices; and, continuous innovation.
