BANJARBARU, S Kalimantan: A social organization To Build Village Movement (GBK) in South Kalimantan is ready to play a role in building villages in both rural and urban areas, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“Our To Build Village Movement (GBK) is launched in the Murjani field Banjarbaru City, Sunday morning, filled with morning gymnastics activities, blood donations, as well as free health checks for community,” said GBK general chairwoman Agustin Nur Martina Putri on Sunday.

GBK, she said, is a moral and social movement to build awareness of various elements of society towards the progress of rural and urban villages.

The theme carried in the movement “Built their village, people will happy” with facilities and funding provided by members of the movement.

“This movement is based on the desire of several people who involve students and the general public to build shared strength,” she said.

According to him, one of the villages to be built is “Bromo Island” in the South Banjarmasin Subdistrict.

“We will survey first, so we know the condition of the village where the area is reportedly isolated and has not been touched by assistance,” she said.

She remarked that the moral and social movement would not be able to run without the support of all parties, so she invited a number of students to become the motor of the movement.

Element students included are Ahmad Yani University BEM, PMI of Lambung Mangkurat University, BEM Stikes Borneo Lestari, BEM STIT Darul Hijrah and Dema IAI Darussalam.
