KUALA LUMPUR: The police are to hand over to the DPP’s office on Monday the investigation papers on the case of alleged criminal intimidation by former Sabah chief minister Tan Sri Musa  Aman against Sabah Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun gave the assurance today that the investigation into Musa was transparent and fair in accordance with the law.

He also said in a statement that Musa was arrested yesterday and released on police bail after the police failed to secure a remand order from a magistrate in Petaling Jaya near here. Musa was arrested at a hospital in the Klang Valley where he was under treatment.

Musa, the assemblyman for Sungai Sibuga, had reportedly left for London for medical treatment on May 16.

He returned to Malaysia via Singapore on Tuesday, flying into the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang at 6.45 pm.

Besides the case of alleged criminal intimidation, Musa is also being investigated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over allegations of buying over assemblymen.   – Bernama
