Youth Movement of Tuaran Upko lodged a police report at the Tuaran police station to ask police to investigate the culprits behind accusations which had been circulating in the social media lately regarding the so-called ‘Projek IC’.

TUARAN: The Youth Movement of Tuaran Upko led by its vice-head Halmon Rambanou on Friday lodged a police report at the Tuaran police station.

The report was to ask police to investigate the culprits behind accusations which had been circulating in the social media lately regarding the so-called ‘Projek IC’. Among the accusations were that Upko ministers had been working in cohorts with the Chief Minister to ensure that illegals were being registered for IC and eventually may also become citizens.

Halmon said the accusations were ‘utter nonsense’ and urged the police to get to the bottom of this matter, including checking with the Registration Department if there was indeed such a thing. “Upko also strongly denies these accusations or the involvement of its leaders which was the work of irresponsible elements,” he added.
