Maszlee gives commitment to repair dilapidated schools within next five years

KUCHING: Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik is currently on a two-day working visit to Kuching.

According to a press statement by the Education Ministry, the official visit that started today, is to enable him to see for himself, the condition of a few schools in Samarahan and Simunjan areas.

Through this visit, Maszlee has stated the Education Ministry’s commitment to maintain dilapidated schools and they will be repaired within the next five years.

He was accompanied during his visit by the Education Ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Gazali Abas, deputy director-general of education Datuk Sulaiman Wak and deputy education director Abang Mat Ali.

Tomorrow, Maszlee will be making a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

He will also be meeting the staff of State Education Department and also the administration representatives of the institutions of higher learning in the state.
