KOTA KINABALU: Teresa Kok finds her first visit to Sabah after the immigration lifted her ban, which coincided with Tan Sri Musa Aman’s return to Sabah as ‘aneh’ (bizarre).

“I have been forbidden to enter since 2014, without any excuse. I went to Sandakan and was prohibited entry and sent back to Kuala Lumpur, until now,” recalled the now Primary Industries Minister when delivering her speech at the 2018 National Palm Oil Smallholder Conference at the Promenade Hotel here yesterday.

“Yesterday was my first entry into Sabah. I am grateful to the Sabah Chief Minister (Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal) as the first thing he did after being sworn in as Sabah Chief Minister was to abolish all the (immigration entry) prohibitions on activists and elected representatives from the Peninsular to Sabah.

“Yesterday, I also felt ‘aneh’, the person who prohibited me from entering (Sabah), the former Sabah Chief Minister, also returned to Sabah. But he (came to) take the oath as (Sungai) Sibuga assemblyman whilst I entered Sabah as Malaysian Cabinet Minister,” she added.

Musa finally returned home to Sabah after being away for more than three months and was officially sworn in before State Assembly Speaker Datuk Seri Panglima Syed Abas Syed Ali on Wednesday.

Shafie also ordered an immediate immigration ban lift off PKR vice presidents Nurul Izzah Anwar and Tian Chua, as well as other leaders.
