BINTULU: The five-door Rumah Patrick Kebing at Jalan Tubau-Bakun was razed
to the ground by a fire yesterday.
A total of 15 victims from two families were left homeless in the incident.
The Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 1.43pm.
Two fire engines from the Bintulu and Samalaju fire stations with 15 firefighters were sent to the scene.
Bintulu station chief Mohamad Meramit said the firefighters managed to put out the fire at 3.50pm.
He said three of the five doors of the longhouse were unoccupied.
Mohamad added the entire operation ended at 4pm.
