SARIKEI: Flying the Jalur Gemilang is a way to express one’s love and patriotism towards the country, says Sarikei member of parliament Andrew Wong.

He said this when launching the Sarikei divisional-level ‘Fly the Jalur Gemilang’ campaign organised by the National Unity and Integration Department recently.

Wong called on the people to fly the Jalur Gemilang at the premises or on their vehicles in recognition of National Day on Aug 31 and Malaysia Day on Sept 16.

“All Malaysians, irrespective of their racial or religious differences, ought to give their undivided loyalty towards the country to ensure its continuous peace, harmony, and prosperity,” he stressed.

Among those present were Unity officer Johnny Banyang and chairmen of various neighbourhood committees in the division.
