MIRI: Over 1,000 participated in Association Of Parents With Special Children (Pibakis) Miri Charity Run held at its centre in Lutong here yesterday.

According to its adviser Datuk James Ling, consistent and sustainable funding is needed to run programmes and activities at its centre.

“Pibakis was started by a small group of parents with similar needs who dedicated themselves to bring up and promote the joint effort which you see today 15 years ago,” he said before flagging off the run.

“We are here today to contribute towards that effort to ensure consistent and sustainable funding. The well-being, care and continual education of children in all relevant fields are of utmost importance to members of this association,” Ling pointed out.
