314 graduates to receive scrolls during UCTS convocation next month

KUCHING: University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS) will hold its third convocation for 314 graduates who will receive their bachelor and their masters degrees next month.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Khairuddin Abdul Hamid said the convocation will also see UCTS awarding its Bachelor in Business Studies degree for the first time.

He said this after paying a courtesy call on the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud at his residence in Demak Jaya here yesterday, to extend an invitation to the ceremony to the Head of State.

The delegation was led by Second Finance Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, who is also UCTS Board of Directors chairman, and included deputy vice-chancellor Prof Dato Dr Sabarudin Mohd and other officials.
