40,580 students sit for UPSR from today

KUCHING: The Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) which begins today will see a total of 40,580 candidates from 1,284 examination centres throughout Sarawak sitting for the exam.

The examination is from today until Sept 27 for Chinese medium schools and Sept 24-27 for national schools.

Of that figure, 30,651 candidates will sit for the examination in Bahasa Melayu and the rest (9,929) in Chinese. Some 356 area supervisors (penyelia kawasan) and 5,032 invigilators (pengawas) will be involved in managing the examination.

Candidates are reminded to bring their identification or birth certificate and entrance pass to the examination centre on their examination days.
