KUCHING: VivaCity is hosting Volksfest:Oktoberfest at its Alfresco area from last Friday to Sept 30 so that shoppers do not have to travel all the way to Germany to enjoy and celebrate Oktoberfest.
Held from 5pm to 10pm daily, its blue and white decoration follows the traditional colours for Bavarian Oktoberfest.
Hence, the megamall turned the Alfresco area into a mini Germany, where family and friends can gather with abundance of food and drinks. Besides German delicacies and beers, shoppers can also sample Swedish dishes, desserts and more.
The celebration was launched on Saturday with live performances for guests to enjoy until the end of the night. Those who missed the launching performances need not worry as there is a repeat on Sept 29 before the celebration ends.
