Teenager pleads guilty to illegal possession of motorcycle licences

MIRI: A teenage boy pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday on two charges of being in possession of motorbike licences belonging to two different individuals.

The court, however, set October 31 for the hearing of the social report of the accused as he was a young offender.

Nawawie Mohd Bujang, 19, from Piasau Utara here was charged under Section 411 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term up to five years or fine or both upon conviction.

In the first charge, he was found guilty of keeping a stolen property, which was a motorbike
licence, belonging to Yup Yun Loong, 36.

For the second charge, he was also found guilty of keeping a motorbike licence belonging to a woman named Dubau Ingan, 53.

Both offences were committed at 3.10pm on November 7, 2017 at a lot in Piasau Utara here.

ASP Mary Ong prosecuted the case before Magistrate Zuraini Ali Musa.

Meanwhile, the accused was allowed to be freed on RM1,000 bail with his mother as surety.
