KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Pakatan Harapan (PH)-led federal government has been urged to not give excuses for not being able to deliver its promises to the people.

In voicing this out, Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang , who is also Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) information chief points out that since the people had chosen PH to lead the federal government, the ruling coalition must not betray such trust.

He also states that there should be no reason for PH to contest in the 14th general election if it was never its intention to form the new government.

“Clearly their (PH’s) manifesto was a big lie to the people as many had believed in their manifesto and voted for them to establish the new government. If this was the case, the (Prime Minister) Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should urge PH to surrender its power to the people in an honest and respectful manner,” Idris said in a press statement released yesterday.

Moreover, he also regarded PH as not ‘being eligible’ for holding the trust of the people if the promises that it made were not fulfilled.

“Now that PH is the federal government, they should know that they must keep (the promises made) to the people, whom had helped them win the election.

“They (PH) made promises before the election and I hope they would fulfil them,” he said.
