Miss Universe Malaysia auditions to be held in KK, Kuching

KOTA KINABALU: Make your dreams come true as the Miss Universe Malaysia Organization is making its way to East Malaysia for walk-in, closed door auditions in Kota Kinabalu and Kuching this October in search of the next Miss Universe Malaysia 2019.

The walk-in auditions in Sabah will be held at Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu on October 20 from 2pm to 6pm and October 21 from 10am to 2pm.

In Sarawak, it will be held at Meritin Hotel, Kuching, on October 27 from 2pm to 6pm
The walk-in audition is open to non-Muslim, Malaysian female citizens who have never been married, never been divorced, or have never had a child. She must be between 18 years to 26 years old before 1 January 2018 with a minimum height of 168cm, and able to communicate in any one of these languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or Tamil.

Applicants must come well-groomed with make-up and heels on, and bring with them the original and photocopy of their MyKad, and three recent photos showing their face, mid-length and full-length shots.

They should personify all the values and attributes of being a Miss Universe Malaysia, which includes confidence, strong work ethics, commitment, professionalism, talent, grace and beauty.

The Miss Universe Malaysia title holder can expect a life-changing experience once she wears the crown. As Miss Universe Malaysia, she will carry the title wherever she goes, and automatically become a public figure. She will have a platform to brand herself and carry out what she is passionate about.

In addition, she will also have opportunities to network with prominent, influential figures all over the world and work with leading industry players, and at the same time, be challenged emotionally, mentally and physically.

More importantly, the crowned winner will have an opportunity of a lifetime to travel abroad and represent Malaysia at the international Miss Universe competition.

Additionally, she will also receive a cash prize of RM50,000 and a full education scholarship.

In January 2018, 20-year-old Penangite student and part-time model Jane Teoh who stands at 178cm, was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2018 in a glitzy Gala Dinner held at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. She was also awarded the subsidiary title of Miss Online Personality.

Jane will be competing at the international Miss Universe competition in Bangkok, Thailand in December this year.

Qualified young women who are up for the challenge are invited to attend the walk-in auditions for a chance in winning the most prestigious title in the pageant world.
