Shafie meets Lim over Sabah projects

PUTRAJAYA: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Shafie bin Haji Apdal had a meeting with Minister of Finance, Lim Guan Eng, at the latter’s office in Putrajaya yesterday to discuss about speeding up federal projects in Sabah as well as the Pan Borneo Highway project.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by three other members of his cabinet during the hour-long meeting. They were Minister of Infrastructure Development, Datuk Peter Anthony, Minister of Education and Innovation, Datuk Dr Yusof Yacob and Minister of Health and People’s Well-being, Datuk Stephen Wong.

Shafie also accompanied Sabah Head of State, Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Juhar Mahiruddin to attend the 250th meeting of the Conference of Rulers at the Istana Negara yesterday.

The one-day meeting which began at 10.30am was chaired by the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail.

All the Malay Rulers, except the Sultans of Pahang, Johor, Kedah and Kelantan were present as well as the Heads of States for Penang, Melaka, Sabah and Sarawak.
