KOTA KINABALU: Police have yet to identify the woman who was found dead and in a decomposing state from a village in Inanam near here on Sunday.
City police chief ACP Habibi Majinji said no one has yet come forward to claim the body.
“There was no foul play found on the victim’s body but we are still waiting for a full report from the chemist department to determine the actual cause of death,” he said.
A decomposed body of a woman, believed to be in her 20s,was found in a bush in Kampung Tamalang Silau, Inanam on Sunday.
The victim was found wearing a black track bottom with ‘SMK Kamabong’ written on it and a black t-shirt while her face was covered with a light blue jacket.
No identification was found on the victim when the body was found at 5.40pm October 14.
