KUCHING: The father of former Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Yusof Merais, 91, died at his home in PJ Heights, Jalan Bakti, Petra Jaya, at 3.30pm yesterday.
Fadillah’s former press secretary Misiah Taib confirmed this with Bernama.
Misiah said Fadillah, who is Petra Jaya MP and was in Kuala Lumpur for the Dewan Rakyat proceedings, would by flying back to Kuching.
Yusof, leaves behind wife Dayang Rosnah Abang Madeli, 87, and 13 children. Fadillah is the ninth of 14 siblings. One of the siblings died at the age of seven.
His remains will be buried at the Samariang Jalan Sultan Tengah Muslim Cemetery, Petra Jaya this morning. – Bernama
