KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Keadilan) will announce the appointment of an auditing company to conduct independent audits of the entire electoral process.

PKR communication director, Fahmi Fadzil in a statement issued today revealed that decision was made during the party political bureau meeting last night.

He said the Keadilan Political Bureau has endorsed the Central Election Committee (JPP) decision to recognised the branch election in Julau, Pensiangan and Tawau Branches.

He also said Keadilan party congress will continue as scheduled on November 16 to 18, 2018 as previously announced.

Fahmi also stressed that the party will give full cooperation to any enforcement agencies, including the Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the Malaysian Royal Police (PDRM), the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) who are investigating the party elections.

“The Political Bureau has directed the JPP to immediately resolve the issue of undi ragu (doubtful votes) for the relevant Branches, by calling representatives of both candidates for the Deputy President to observe the process,” he said.

On the issue of ‘lost votes’ raised by newly elected PKR Johor Bahru division chief Akmal Nasir at a press conference this afternoon, Fahmi said Baker Tilly’s firm that verified the integrity of the electoral system to investigate and respond promptly.
