LIMBANG: A motorcyclist was killed after he fell on the road when trying to overtake a car and was subsequently ran over by a vehicle at KM22 Jalan Medamit here on Tuesday afternoon.
Limbang district police chief Supt Mohd Bukhori Saffai said the victim, Johnatan Josep, 22, from Kampung Tanjong Limbang, died on the spot in the 4.30pm accident.
“The victim was riding home from Limbang town to Tedungan and upon reaching KM 22 Jalan Mendamit, he was said to have overtaken a vehicle but fell down and rolled on to the other side of the road and was hit by an incoming car.
“The woman driver of the Brunei-registered car was only slightly injured,” he said yesterday.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
The body was later sent to Limbang Hospital.
