KUCHING: Suziana Damik and Audrey Isis were crowned Miss and Mrs Kebaya Sarawak 2018 respectively on Friday night.

Roxanne Lee and Priscillia Christopher were the first and second runners-up for the Miss category while Fujica Anggo and Norita Bangga were first and second runners-up for the Mrs category.

Miss and Mrs Kebaya Malaysia founder Jason Hee Jee Pin said this was the sixth year running that Miss and Mrs Kebaya Malaysia was held throughout Malaysia.

“We got support from all races especially from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. They give us full support and encouragement,” he said in his welcoming speech during the crowning dinner at a hotel here on Friday.

Organised by Kuching Society for Community Leadership and Economic Development, winners of the Miss and Mrs Kebaya Sarawak 2018 will represent Sarawak at the Miss and Mrs Kebaya Malaysia to be held on Dec 15 in Kuala Lumpur.

Suziana was clearly shocked when she was crowned Miss Kebaya Sarawak but was hoping to be able to sharpen her speaking skills before representing Sarawak at the national-level contest.

Audrey meanwhile said she felt a sense of responsibility after winning the contest, and hoped to further improve her catwalking skills.
