KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg says Muslims in Sarawak should always be grateful for the peace, prosperity as well as political and economic stability enjoyed by the state.
He said these factors have resulted in a harmonious situation amongst the multi-cultural and multi-religious society, allowing Sarawak to advance and become an example to other states in the country.
The chief minister conveyed his message in a text-of-speech read by Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) president Datuk Abang Abdul Karim Tun Openg, in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration here yesterday.
Earlier, Abang Abdul Karim participated in a procession at Kampung Bandarshah, along Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol to mark the occasion.
