Curtin University is one of the affiliated universities, with campuses located in Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and Mauritius, apart from its main campus in Australia.

Curtin University Malaysia provides courses such as Foundation Studies (Arts, Commerce, Engineering and Science), Business, Engineering, and Science and Humanities.

It is rated in the top one per cent of universities worldwide in the highly regarded ‘Academic Ranking of World Universities’ (ARWU) 2018, and also ranked second in the world for its ‘Mineral and Mining Engineering’ programme in the ‘2018 QS World University Rankings by Subject’.

Among the benefits of studying at Curtin University is that students can transfer or study in their overseas campus of choice; thus immersing themselves in new culture, making new friends and developing new perspectives.

Curtin University Malaysia, located in Miri, Sarawak, was founded in 1999.

It provides courses such as Foundation Studies (Arts, Commerce, Engineering and Science), Business, Engineering, and Science and Humanities.

The university has also launched new courses such as Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) Construction Management, Bachelor of Science (Computing), Software Engineering, Cyber Security, and Bachelor of Commerce (Management and Human Resources Management).

Another top-choice among students is Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak in Kuching.

With its main campus located in Melbourne, Australia, Swinburne is ranked in the top 40 for arts and design in ‘QS World Rankings of University by Subject 2018’.

It is also rated in the top 75 for civil engineering in ‘ARWU 2017’, and ranked in the top three per cent globally in ‘QS World University Rankings’ in 2018.

Established in 2000, Swinburne Sarawak has various courses in design, engineering, business, science and computing.

All courses are similar to those offered at its Melbourne Campus and degrees are awarded with the same Australian testamur. The university currently has around 3,500 students from 45 countries.

There are two new courses to be launched next year, namely Diploma in Business Management and Bachelor of Law. Swinburne Sarawak also has a transfer programme to its main Australian campus.

The ‘1+2’, ‘2+1’ or ‘2+2’ programmes will give students a truly different exposure and experience, and train them to be independent outside of their comfort zone.

There are also scholarships and bursaries available at Swinburne Sarawak such as the Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship and Academic Progression Scholarship.

Students are encouraged to bring along their academic transcripts (SPM/STPM/A-Levels/Foundation/Diploma/Degree) for consultation or application, as well as consideration of scholarships – terms and conditions apply.

During the fair, students and parents will have the opportunity to engage with representatives of local and overseas institutions to gain a better understanding of the universities and courses available.
