SMB Chung Hua Miri placed third in World Robot Olympiad

MIRI: SMB Chung Hua Miri (Robotic Group) has done Miri and Sarawak proud by coming in third in football category of World Robot Olympiad held in Chiang Mai, Thailand recently.

The school and SJK Tung Hua from Sibu were among those selected from the state to represent Malaysia in the championship.

Congratulating the school during meet-the-people session yesterday, Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Lee Kim Shim disclosed that Malaysia emerged as the overall champion amongst 64 countries participating in the championship.

Lee was briefed that the school will host Borneo International Robotic Festival April 10-14 next year in conjunction with Visit Sarawak Year.

He lauded the school for the proposed festival which is in line with state government’s move towards digital economy and to encourage students to be creative and innovative with advancement in technology.
