KUCHING: The Sarawak government staff should always provide efficient services to ensure that their respective ministries or departments would achieve the best ratings.

According to Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, government organisations must be aware of the importance of the services provided to the public.

He  commended the Ministry of Industrial and Entrepreneurs Development (MIED) for having achieved a five-star rating from the Treasury Department of Sarawak.

Awang Tengah expects that with RM85.3 million allocated for industrial estate development, and RM18.4 million for entrepreneurs development and also for small-medium enterprises (SMEs) under the 2019 Sarawak Budget, the ministry would be ‘busy’ next year.

“Hence, I request all staff to improve the production and delivery so that the ministry’s mission could be achieved,” the deputy chief minister said at MIED’s ‘Appreciation Ceremony’ recently, where Assistant Minister of Entrepreneur and SME Development Datuk
Mohd Naroden Majais and MIED permanent secretary Datu Liaw Soon Eng were also present.

MIED is one of Awang Tengah’s ministerial portfolios — he is also Second Minister of Urban Development and Natural Resources.
