LIMBANG : Two government quarters here were broken into by thieves on Monday.

The incidents were discovered by two government servants aged 34 and 31 respectively, who were patrolling the area around 7pm that night.

Limbang Police Chief, Supt Mohd Bukhori Saffai said upon further inspection by the two individuals, it was later found that the main doors of the houses had been forced open and the inside of the houses were in a mess.

“The two government servants suspected that the house was broken into.

“We have yet to identify the missing items or estimate the losses at the moment as both house owners are still out of town for the Christmas holiday,” he said today.

Mohd Bukhori added that following police investigation, two suspects aged 40 and 20 years old from Jalan Pandaruan were picked up by police on suspicion of their involvement in the case.

“Based on initial police investigation, both suspects admitted their involvement in the house break-in cases, along with two others who are still at large.

“However, we are still in the process of identifying the stolen items,” he disclosed.

Mohd Bukhori said remand application will be made at Limbang Magistrate’s Court today for further investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
