Abang Johari visits Christian homes, Bishop’s open house

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg visited several Christian homes to celebrate Christmas yesterday.

Among those that he and his entourage visited was the house of Sarawak Unity Foundation (SUF) chief executive Datu Aloysius J. Dris’ at Kesuma Resort here.

Accompanying Abang Johari were his wife Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang and Tourism, Art, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

Also present were Welfare, Community Well-Being,  Women, Family and Childhood Education Minister, Dato Seri Fatimah Abdullah and her husband, Datu Dr Adi Badiozaman Tuah.

Abang Johari, Juma’ani and the entourage arrived at 9.15am and were welcomed by Aloysius and his wife Datin Teresa Bateman.

The chief minister spent about 30 minutes with Aloysius’ family before leaving for the Christmas Open House of the Sarawak and Brunei Anglican Church Bishop, Danald Jute.
