KUCHING: Sarawak and Austria have expressed hope to collaborate on green technology, infrastructure, health, water and waste management, as well as digitalisation.

These were discussed when Austrian Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Michael Postl made a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg at the latter’s office in Petra Jaya here yesterday.

They also talked about global affairs and bilateral relationship between Malaysia and the European Union, as well as Austria.

“During the 45-minute meeting, the chief minister and his visitors also discussed – among other things – cooperation and opportunities that could be explored from the aspect of economy,  education, tourism and health between Sarawak and Austria,” a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office said.

Postl was accompanied by embassy officials during the visit.
