The 24-year-old was produced in a magistrate’s court here where the application by police was granted.

She was picked up by police around 4pm following the discovery of the body at Jalan Dusun, off Jalan Ong Tiang Swee around 9am.

The deceased, identified by the Chinese press as 37-year-old Tang Tung Kuok, was found in a decomposed state.

An employee brought in to identify the body could only do so based on the victim’s wristwatch and gold ring.
