Police uncover murder victim’s belongings as investigation heats up

KUCHING: About 20 items believed to be the personal belongings of murder victim Tang Tung Kuok were recovered by the police in a remote location along Jalan Kampung Bunga Rampai in Batu Kitang today.

Among the items that were found by the police include a satchel bag, a mobile phone and shoes.

Conducting the search were personnel from the Sarawak Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and a forensics team who ended the search at around 3pm.

The items were bagged and sent over to the Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters to be processed.

It is believed that one of the six suspects who were arrested after the murder of Tang led the police to the location where the victim’s personal belongings were dumped.
