KUCHING: A 46-year-old male driver was arrested by the police yesterday at the Kota Sentosa police station on suspicion of raping an underage girl on two occasions last year.

According to reports, the first incident took place in an empty room of the home’s multipurpose hall around 5.30pm while the second incident took place at the compound of the same multipurpose hall at 6.15pm.

Two weeks ago, the assistant principal of the home confronted the victim over a handphone that was found in her possession.

During the interrogation, the victim opened up and told the assistant principal that the handphone was bought by the suspect.

The victim also revealed the other two incidents of rape which led to the police report on Jan 21 at the Kota Padawan police station.

On Jan 22, a medical check-up on the now 16-year-old girl confirmed that an old tear was visible on her hymen.
