MIRI: A motorcyclist and his pillion rider were killed on the spot in a head-on collision with a trailer at KM118 Miri-Bintulu Road near here around 5.15pm on Friday.
The deceased both 17-years-old were later identified as Jeckson Fahik Guteres and Amir Lau who was riding pillion.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu in a press statement yesterday said the victims were heading towards Bintulu from Niah when thye accident happened.
“Upon reaching KM118, their machine was said to have veered into the opposite lane and collided with the trailer.
The bodies have been taken to Miri Hospital for a post-mortem. Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
