SIBU: The Methodist Children’s Home here yesterday received a special visitor in the person of Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, the wife of Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.
While there, she donated RM7,000 to the Home and handed out ‘angpows’ and gifts to the children in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.
Accompanying her for the visit were the wives of ministers and assistant ministers who included Datuk Dayang Morliah Datuk Awang Daud (Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan’s wife), Datin Sri Pauline Leong (Second Finance Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh’s wife), Datin Masnah Ahmad (Assistant Minister of E-Commerce Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais’ wife) and Datin Lee Chai Foong (Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Lee Kim Shin’s wife).
