SIBU: A mechanic charged with attempted murder was released on an extended bail by the Sessions Court here yesterday while waiting for submission of the relevant documents.
Judge Caroline Bee Majanil adjourned the case to Feb 20.
Tang Ding Kin, 49, was on Jan 10 released on RM5,000-bail with one surety after he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He is also to report to the nearest police station twice a month.
Tang was charged under Section 307 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum 20 years’ jail upon conviction.
According to the charge sheet, he allegedly stabbed a man named Chiew, 47, with a knife between 6am and 6.15am on Dec 30, 2018 in Tekam Road here.
