All four suspects being led out of the court after their remand orders were granted.
LIMBANG: Four men including a security guard of a hotel here were arrested for stealing belongings of the hotel’s guest on Friday night.
Limbang District police chief, Superintendent Mohd Bukhori Saffai said two of them were brothers, aged 21 and 27 from Lawas.
The security guard, aged 41 who denied any involvement in the case was detained at midnight yesterday at the hotel lobby.
“The three suspects alleged that the hotel’s security guard had allowed them to enter the hotel’s third floor and broke into the housekeeping room where they took the duplicate keys and entered one of the guest rooms where they stole cash, handphone and a wrist watch,” Mohd Bukhori said yesterday.
He said the money had been divided among the suspects and efforts are still being carried to recover the stolen items.
The three suspects were remanded for four days starting yesterday while the security guard was remanded for two days to facilitate investigation under Section 380 of the Penal Code.
