KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) vice president Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah says the state Pakatan Harapan (PH) decision to accept Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) will not change its political scenario.

He pointed out that even though Bersatu has joined the coalition in the state, it would still be dominated by Democratic Action Party (DAP).

“Any different from the previous set up?…nothing because it will still be dominated by DAP and the state PH chairman Chong Chieng Jen calling the shot and dictating to other Bumiputera based parties,” he said yesterday.

He was commenting on Bersatu which has been accepted into the fold of PH Sarawak, to strengthen the coalition in facing Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the next state polls.

The other component parties of PH Sarawak are DAP, PKR and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), which are all Malaya-based parties.

According to Abdul Karim, DAP is racist in its set up and slowly opening up to show that it cares for the Bumiputera with the intention to contest in Bumiputera seats.

He pointed out that DAP knows that Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak do not have the means and capability to win rural seats, especially now that the party is split between Larry Sng’s and Baru Bian’s camps.

“DAP somehow loves to see this cracks in PKR so that they can move in…but Sarawakian voters are not that stupid though….the state PH coalition are all Malayan based parties, if they (voters) want Malaya to dictate Sarawak’s destiny just support them,” Abdul Karim, who is Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Youth and Sports said.
