Two men lucky to escape unhurt after van catches fire

SIBU: Two men in their 20s escaped unhurt when the van they were in caught fire yesterday.

The incident occurred around 9.30am near the Fire Station at Central Road.

The two  were turning into Central Road when the driver saw thick smoke coming from his vehicle’s engine.

He stopped his van, and the two rushed out. Several firemen and the public responded to it and put out the fire in time.
