New Honda CRV receives strong interest in S’wak

KUCHING: Sarawak-based  Jimisar Corporation has received 30 pre-launch bookings for the new Honda CRV model.

Its managing director Datuk Ismail Salleh said that the company collected bookings starting from January even when the price and specifications were not available. He said this showed the strong confidence the market in Sarawak has in Honda brand, products and the company.

“The CRV is indeed a very important model to our Honda business because of its significant contribution to our sales volume.

“With stylish new exterior looks, additional features including advanced safety and improved interior design, the new CRV is really a value for money. We are confident the new CRV will continue its dominance in the SUV market. Our dealership projects an annual sales volume of 360 units for this new CRV,” he said.

Ismail mentioned this during the launching of the New Honda CRV at its 3S Honda showroom here yesterday. He said the new Honda CRV is now available at the selling price RM 150,980 on the road.

“The premium SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) is designed for drivers who appreciate sporty drive, practical features and the comfort of the sedan like driving dynamics. It appeals to both professionals and outdoor enthusiasts,” said Ismail.

Powered by 150-horsepower 2.0 liter i-VTEC engine and with a five speed automatic transmission, the new CRV now offers more advanced safety features, newly styled exterior, improved interior and refined driving comfort.

The new CRV has a refreshing exterior makeover and added features like new front and rear bumper design, new fog light, four reverse sensors, new alloy rims design, dual layer chrome front grille with honey comb design and high lens reflector.

The more sporty exterior design enhances the aesthetic appeals of the stylish CRV, improves the aerodynamic of the vehicle and improves fuel effi­ciency.

The interior has gone through some changes including new seat fabric material, wider armrest and new audio interface completes with USB port, giving the vehicle more luxurious, comfortable and elegant feels.

Ismail said, “More impressively, the new CRV now comes with additional advanced safety features like side airbags with OPDS (Occupant Position Detec­tive System) for driver and front passenger. It is the first SUV in its class to introduce such addition, raising safety standard of SUVs in this segment even higher.”

The CRV now also equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) which enables more stable and sturdier drive. The new CRV are now available in five colours, the new Urban Titanium, Alabaster Silver, Polish Metal, Crystal Black and Tafetta White.

On another matter, he said Jimisar is extending its showroom operation hours until 5 pm this weekend. Members of public are welcome to test drive the new CRV.
