RM38,520 robbery solved in seven hours

KAPIT: The local police have solved Wednesday’s robbery at a leasing company’s premises where an employee was forced to hand over RM38,520 at knife point.This was confirmed yesterday by police chief DSP Entusa Imam.
“We solved the case within seven hours. I must thank members of the public for their full co-operation. They helped us to solve the case swiftly,” he said.
“All the five suspects were arrested at Bintulu Bus Terminal around 9pm on Wednesday.
“They are now detained by Bintulu police and are on their way back here.”
The local suspects, aged between 17 and 27 years old, will be charged under Section 392 of the Penal Code, he said.
According to him, the suspects escaped by taking the 1pm express boat from here to Sibu and then boarding a bus to Bintulu.
