Coffee shop gutted in fire

PENAMPANG: A fire broke out at Yin Fui coffee shop at Taman Suria, Penampang early yesterday morning.

Penampang fire and rescue senior officer Zainuddin Harun Gibin said a distress call was received at 3.55am and a fire engine with five personnel were dispatched to the scene within minutes.

“We arrived a the scene at 4.02am and controlled the fire within 10 minutes,” he said when contacted yesterday.

Zainuddin said no casualty was reported while the cause of the fire and total loss were still under investigation.
