KUCHING: SEGi College Sarawak organised a fun- filled trip to Santubong for its Nursing and Allied Health Faculty students in the weekend as part of their stress relief activity before facing their upcoming examination week.

The trip, organised by the students itself in collaboration with Student Affairs Department was held every semester between faculties to further enhanced their education experience while promoting a relaxing and stress free learning atmosphere at the college.

In a press release sent to the media, the faculty’s assistant manager Auguster Dawn, when commenting on the trip said: “A day trip to the beach with healthy fun and full of activities is just the right medicine for students who are facing upcoming examinations and assignments. It helps refresh the mind so students can study better after a quick retreat.”

“We have had several successful outdoor trips. These activities are planned and executed by the student body, giving them additional experience that is not learned in text-books,” Dawn added.

Complimenting the effort, he said organising this kind of event was not an easy feat especially when it involved a big group.

Dawn was also happy that the weather did not disrupt the programme.

He mentioned that although the weather was gloomy in the morning, by noon it was sunny with clear skies. The students had a great time, enjoying every bit of activities added with barbecue as their treat for lunch.
