Kuching coffee shop meals to cost more from today

KUCHING: Food and drinks at coffee shops here will cost more from today.

The Kuching Coffee Shops and Restaurant Owners Association announced the increase in a press statement yesterday.

It said the prices had to be adjusted to cope with the increasing cost of ingredients.

From today, large cups of hot beverages will see an increase of 20 sen, while the price for small cups will increase by 10 sen.

The price for coffee and tea will range from 90 sen to RM2.20, depending on the serving size and whether it includes milk, sugar or ice.

For example, black coffee with sugar will cost RM1 for a small cup and RM1.50 for a large cup, while coffee with condensed milk or evaporated milk will be RM1.30 for a small cup and RM1.90 for a large cup.

Milo and Nescafe will cost between RM1.20 and RM2.20, depending on the size and whether it includes milk, sugar or ice.

A small cup of Milo with condensed milk will cost RM1.50, while a large cup will cost RM2.20.

Those ordering Horlicks will pay between RM1.40 and RM2.40, while the range for canned drinks is RM1.80 to RM2.30.

Kolok mee with barbecued pork will increase by 30 sen, while plain bread will cost 30 sen per slice, while kaya or butter toast will be RM1.
