Borneo Post Adventure Team in 3rd odyssey

SIMUNJAN: The Borneo Post Adventure Team (Bat III) embarked on its third outing yesterday morning. The team is heading towards Bintulu, but will make as many stops as possible in small towns along the way.

The first BAT outing was in 2011.

Bat III intends to take a good look at the coastal highway and small towns it will pass through in the next two weeks.

The team will evaluate the socio-economic impacts the coastal highway has brought to the people. Its members will also sieve through key issues affecting the lives of the people.

Bat III will also be highlighting interesting and peculiar things they bump into in towns and places of interest.

The team has no fear of the tough terrains that awaits them as they are using an all-new Isuzu D-Max, courtesy of Isuzu Malaysia.

The idea to traverse the length and breadth of the state in search of unique and touching stories was conceived as a way to fill the pages of Sarawak’s most widely circulated English daily during periods of lull.

During its inaugural trip in 2011, a four-member team hit the Pan Borneo trunk road from Kuching to Limbang. The team also took a peek at Labuan and Sabah.
